feel free to lead if you read

you cannot lead if you do not read. we live in an information age. everything is about information. the earth has some fragments of an iron age, stone age and ice age.

South Africa came to a stand still because of information. the youth wants information. children want information. so now you find "leaders" in night club's and getting wasted. who is defending the revolution on the ground?

people must revolt against materialism, excessive alcohol and random sexual activities for lust or a cheque.fortune hunters are out in their numbers. going out is a lucrative business, and it thrives on money and sex.
we all go out once in a while. we are surrounded by the familiar in the night life atmosphere. You get tipsy and a little excited. You start to let your guard down a bit. start to lose yourself to the music. snap out if it and back to reality. how many people are trapped in a bad routine.

cannot hold down a woman, man, job because of "spirits". i miss how fun was just fun without being accompanied by alcohol. it changes a lot of things about our country seeing as that's our only idea of fun.

point in lemene. i raise it against myself. i retract my statement, as i cannot talk for everyone. not everyone thinks going out and drinking is fun. there are people who read, people who hike, people who swim, your, sky dive, bungee jump, parasail etc.

however for those who are in the dark. come to the light. bask in the glory of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. saw some picture of a mutual friend who took a shot left to Graskop recently. innovative mind and entrepreneur Mr Oupa Pilane has recently unveiled an amazing project there recently.

so this inspiring man, unveiled a lift that apparently goes down a gorge. the views I've heard are spectacular. need to go here soon and blog about it.

calling card

calling card.

forward

Life is all about learning to put one foot in front of the other to move forward. every morning we have to re-learn this routine

fences

watching the movie Fences with Denzel Washington and Viola Davis, bears testament that thy shall hold on to your power and dreams as a woman.

too many times we see the fatal mistake of women giving away too much of themselves to men or rather their husband's. they hardly leave any for themselves.

ain't it funnt how many women forget themselves in the process of making the person they are married to,important and somebody in life. then at the end all they get is infedility and children he made outside of the marriage.

women just like men, have needs. they see other people as hot and interesting too, only difference is they don't act on it. this nigga went outside on his wife, fell for the trappings of the temptress because "he made her feel alive." uhm is waking up every morning and breathing not alive enough.

the child's mom dies during child birth. he fetches the child at the hospital and brings him home to his wife. how many times have we seen a woman step outside on her man, fall pregnant by someone else, admit it and live to tell the tale? none. their fate is shame.

the baby has no mom. his wife must now raise the child. what choice does she have? dine dedicated 18 years of her life to making sure he was fed, clean and flourishing. men who go out looking for "excitement" are unaware that they are not as exciting inside.

i'm coming in and everybody going out. you going out while everybody was in damnit. people will sew you have changed but will not tell you what they did to push you to change.

all my life

help!

Snack-Shack

the Snack-Shack started after frequent visits to Lanyandza Nomcebo Magongo's house at Stonehenge. she was always cooking and every time I got to her house she would always cook the best food. her presentation of the food was unparraleled.
one day I was attending a funeral at the hood and you know how they go. it always turns into a reunion. anyway here we are with some friends catching up after a funeral and you know how the dialectics go. it is almost always about who slept with who and who has money now. conversation got boring for me very quickly.
it struck a cord! why are we always discussing other people's success and end up hating them for it because we are too absorbed in their lives? the amount of time people put in trying to find out how and why people made their money is beyond me. so there I was thinking..that amount of energy we put in other people's business I should put in my own. pretty sure I said it out loud too.
2017 was casually driving past the hood when I came across what is now known as the Snack -Shack. it was not easy trying to convince people to invest in my dream. if we would tell you how many doors were shut in our faces, you will respect us for not giving up. we tried and tried even more until we finally got the capital for a start-up together.
the first point of departure for me was the artwork. it had to be perfect. it had to inspire and grab attention at the same time. the most important of all about the artwork was it had to be the first of its kind in the hood and secondly it had to showcase a young artist by the name of Dannie Mokoena' s skills. the art had to show to him and all those around what they are capable of anything if they push themselves. all he had was a brief and a blank canvass. colour we proclaimed. colour!
sourced the colours myself because everyone was starting to meddle a lot and tell me it can't be done. note how you should keep your ideas to yourself if you are weak because nay sayers will try to dampen your spirits. mixed the colours in accordance with the characters I wanted. the skin tones of utmost importance. we iz black and this here is Africa.

let the children come to me said Jesus Christ when the disciples turned them away. let the children come to me, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them. we had them in mind when we designed the layout. children are the future you know. with that said we accommodate everyone also. we hope to continue to give a great service and receive an amazing pay at the end of the day.

we are situated at Kanyamazane township e 2 ,Gogo Shankie's street. the owner of the property was a prolific woman hence she had an entire street named after her.

the streets we operate from were paved by Mr Robert Gumede. we dubbed them billionaire avenue. it is only fit that we call it to existence.

our menu has variety for every age group. thank you to NYDA we recently got ourselves a popcorn machine and milkshake machine.

we sell:
kota's
burgers
chips
dagwoods
hotdogs etc.
come through next time you are in town and tell us what you think

I love twitter

i love twitter. found more viewership in this platform than Facebook AND Instagram combined.

This platform is more content driven and that is what we are about over here at Ms_Curvy Creations Pty Ltd. from our blog, food, clothing, furniture it's a lifestyle thing.

so thank you to you all who take your time out to check out my blog. it validates the relevancy of young black ambitious females. we can't all be about expensive clothes and people's hair.

society will make you feel like you don't belong just because you are not doing what everyone else is doing. it will turn you into a recluse but the choice to enjoy and revel in your own company comes from you.

I've got a feeling that my dreams are valid and that I will make it, with my fellow Africa's support, so I can support them too. in life we need people who will support our struggle to the hit and not with rhetorics.  we need people who will get down and be dirty with us on the ground.

with that said, it's true that you should not be so thirsty for every opportunity that you end up drinking from every cup. you might get poisoned.

lesson of the day

Just learned an important lesson about family and business. the two do not mix. So in the spirit of inclusiveness, I offered more to people who did not ask for what I had to offer. They did not even understand.

True that we must not make promises when we are happy. the Snack-Shack is my brainchild. It was conceived in my dreams and God helped me make it a reality.

The break up is good in the long run. You cannot mistake your readiness for the readiness of others. some things are yours alone.
I grew up this December. learning each day to trust God and myself with every passing day. this is where you see that your knowledge and wisdom can only take you so far. needless to say it was a vision and we made it come to life, for now thats enough.

moving forward this seed that was planted on this here fertile ground must flourish and grow. no one needs to understand anyone's hustle all they have to do is respect it.

opening a business also opens your mind to a lot of negativity in the world and how many people are myopic people in our society. dynamite comes in small packages and this here is going to explode and blow everyone out of the water.

bottom line, your dreams are valid youngeons. It's not about being black or white. It's about knowing what you want and defying all odds and all else to get it.

Time is an illusion, time is older than time. live now. from where you are sitting you are enough. all we can do is give people information, what they do with it is up to them.

VERSE OF THE DAY

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

The Elephant Rope

The Elephant Rope (Belief)

A gentleman was walking through an elephant camp, and he spotted that the elephants weren’t being kept in cages or held by the use of chains. All that was holding them back from escaping the camp, was a small piece of rope tied to one of their legs.
As the man gazed upon the elephants, he was completely confused as to why the elephants didn’t just use their strength to break the rope and escape the camp. They could easily have done so, but instead they didn’t try to at all.
Curious and wanting to know the answer, he asked a trainer nearby why the elephants were just standing there and never tried to escape.
The trainer replied;
“WHEN THEY ARE VERY YOUNG AND MUCH SMALLER WE USE THE SAME SIZE ROPE TO TIE THEM AND, AT THAT AGE, IT’S ENOUGH TO HOLD THEM. AS THEY GROW UP, THEY ARE CONDITIONED TO BELIEVE THEY CANNOT BREAK AWAY. THEY BELIEVE THE ROPE CAN STILL HOLD THEM, SO THEY NEVER TRY TO BREAK FREE.”
The only reason that the elephants weren’t breaking free and escaping from the camp was because over time they adopted the belief that it just wasn’t possible.

Moral of the story: No matter how much the world tries to hold you back, always continue with the belief that what you want to achieve is possible. Believing you can become successful is the most important step in actually achieving it.

pro forma invoice

Image result for proforma invoice
We all have come across these words and probably had no idea what they meant or what it is. In the event that you were in the dark much like myself, here is what a pro-forma invoice is.

pro forma invoice is a document that states a commitment on part of the seller to deliver the products or services as notified to the buyer for a specific price. It is thus not a true invoice.

IMAGINATION

I had wanted to write something about fairies. Uhm until I hit search for fairy pictures and saw all of them are white. Black people where are our magical and beautiful mystical creatures? Not the scary crap we grew up with, mainly tokoloshe and Pinky Pinky? That tormented the nights and dreams of many of our children.

Image result for fairiesWhere are our mystical creatures that stand for our good an our protection. The ones that lay awake at night to watch us sleep. Do we not have a sweet and beautiful colorful imaginations? We do cause I do and I am pretty sure there are others like me out there.

Stories of Pirates, white people have a way of making thieves like Pirates sound so amazing. Their tales and their travels so fascinating. We have seas at our steps as well. African people, where are our pirates who conquered  the seas? Where are the illustrations of what we hope they were or know they were?

In essence the real question we have arrived to is, where is our imagination as a people?

Word of the day

androgynous
anˈdrɒdʒɪnəs/
adjective
  1. partly male and partly female in appearance; of indeterminate sex.
    "a stunningly androgynous dancer"
    • dated
having the physical characteristics of both sexes; hermaphrodite.

Lemme credit Ms Mamiki Moukangwe before i get accused of all sorts of things. I first heard this word from her.

OBEDIENCE

Its true that in life, what you put in is what you get out. If you are an asshole it makes sense if you what you get out is shit.

Your attitude determines your latitude it is the truth. This shown to me at Robs Ferreira Hospital a public hospital, situated in Mbombela. With all the headlines you read about the state of our state hospitals, you will understand my discomfort when I found out my fate was to end up there.

Speaking of fate, so now I want to know who Rob Ferreira is. Where we come from not only is our provincial hospital named after him, there is a school too. So who is Rob Ferreira if you are from my town you would want to know.

He was a local businessman and politician. Rob Ferreira and his brother Martin founded the Malelane Development Company to pursue the application for the establishment of the town. It was officially established on July 6, 1949 and named Malelane. The first and only “street” – Stasieweg (Station Road) – was also the entrance from the national road to the station. While the National Roads team was busy with the construction and tarring of the road between Nelspruit and Komatipoort, Ferreira, member of provincial council for the area, arranged for the tarring of all roads to the station of Kaapmuiden, Malelane, Hectorspruit and Komatipoort. In this way Stasieweg was tarred – with the compliments of the state.

One of the establishment stipulations was that water be provided to the houses along Stasieweg as well as to at least three further points as suitable places for the convenience of the residents of the town. Water was from a borehole and pumped to a reservoir. In order to obtain this service stands had to be bought along Stasieweg, all others were sold without this amenity. Homeowners had to see to their own sewage and rubbish removal.

Unfortunately I could not find any pictures of Mr Rob Ferreira. Anyway back to our story about you getting what you put in, in life. My first child I had in private hospital, so the thought of a public hospital freaked me out. The crazy white lady screaming outside of the maternity ward a couple of hours after giving birth did not help either. My attitude had to change and listen that hospital and its staff are the best!!! World class. From the cleaners all the way up to the Doctors!!!!The surgery was world class and we are both still here by the grace of god.

So there was this girl who never wanted to work right? She always had an excuse as to why she could not do something. One day she even took newspapers, neatly put them on the floor and fell fast asleep. Her boss hardly went in there to check anywhere, so it was anarchy. The girl would come in to the office early, get there with her lunch packed nicely, sit and do nothing. When the other colleagues asked her to do something, she never wanted to do her job. Even if she did, it was after complaining. Wonder if her heart was ever in anything she did.

People in the office looked away at her behavior. One day she had her heart set on something, now she wanted other peoples help her. The ones who could helped as far as they could but it was not enough. You know those mean people who never compliment you even when you look good. The people who never even bother to say thank you when you give them things.

Manners are important we notice in life hey. They will get you far. Live your life working hard and learning more. Clutch on tight to the ones you see trying to do good. Do not be an obstacle to progress. We look back at the people we have tried to work with, who instead supported and protected the good, went into the dark to conspire against it.

What you put in is what you get out, your good works and hard work will catch up with you. Likewise if you are sowing bad and you are lazy that will catch up with you too. People be faithful in small things so that you can be entrusted with bigger things. You cannot be insubordinate at work and expect anyone to come through for you outside of it, especially if you met inside of it.

Obedience is the key to unlock many doors. Insubordination is the lock that shuts you out from all things good. Find inspiration and learn to be same. Life is a mirror remember and some people will show you parts of who you are. It goes without saying, if you do not like what you see back..change it.

Listeriosis outbreak

36 people dead in Listeriosis outbreak in SA

What is Listeriosis?

Listeriosis is a serious infection usually caused by eating food contaminated with the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes.

The symptoms of listeriosis includefevermuscle aches, and sometimesnausea or diarrhea. If infection spreads to the nervous system, symptoms such as headachestiff neckconfusion, loss of balance, orconvulsions can occur. But infectedpregnant women may experience only a mildflu-like illness.

So like here are some things we can do to he safe shem. If you have any of these symptoms run to the nearest clinic or your doctor.

Word of the day

polymath
ˈpɒlɪmaθ/
noun
  1. a person of wide knowledge or learning.
    "a Renaissance polymath"

Renaissance man, be it

When someone is called a "Renaissance man" today, it is meant that, rather than simply having broad interests or superficial knowledge in several fields, the individual possesses a more profound knowledge and a proficiency, or even an expertise, in at least some of those fields.

Some dictionaries use the term "Renaissance man" to describe someone with many interests or talents, while others give a meaning restricted to the Renaissance and more closely related to Renaissance ideals.

Honey be the renaissance! Life is too short not to try out new things and learn from others. You can do anything and everything you put your mind to. God will project the good, follow the picture. Sometimes the puzzles are scattered but you have the vision of the full picture. Be patient and put them together.

Best things since sliced bread

Best things since sliced bread are my two super heroes Luyanda and Langa. My reasons for trying even harder each day than I did the day before.

So Luyanda I had in 2008 during my second year of varsity. I named him Luyanda because the love in me manifested with each day I carried him.

Langa joined us in 2015, the news that i was carrying a mini me was a light in the darkest time in my life. She is named after the brightest star in the galaxy because she brings light and warmth.

It' true that whatever you name your children becomes their destiny. Theirs is one of love and light. So everyday I grow up with them. My two best friends.

Children have a silent assurance of a true love and friendship. They become what they see not what you tell them, so show them good. It's true that they are the leaders of tomorrow and the future belongs to them.

Apart from our biological children we have our spiritual children at home. Nkosana  the best footballer this side of the equator. Thando  the smartest little hustler I've come to know. They have great potential and coupled with ambition I pray they fulfil their purposes. Nkosana means Prince and Thando means love and that's what they are. The prince of the field and the love of the Lord.

Everything we do is to inspire those who come after us that God is the author of their lives and if they have Faith, he will bring to fruition all that they do for his glory. That is the ultimate gift, to fear, honour, love and praise God all the days of their lives.  Once a child has a handle of this from a young age they can do all things through Christ who they know strengthens them.
